Coastal Cleanup Campaign 2025: A joint effort to preserve the Costa del Sol

15 vessels in the service of the sea
The operation will be composed of 15 vessels, 4 of type Pelican -large and scattered along the coastline - and 11 smaller ones known as the Gavinas, operating close to the shore.
The company awarded the contract Ecolmare, specialised in maritime services, will be in charge of implementing the plan, offering a impeccable technical and quality control service.
The silent enemy: plastic

“We wake up to pitiful images of beaches littered with bottles and rubbish. We are incapable, at times, of picking up a bag and leaving it by the litter bin,” Cerdán lamented.
Citizen awareness: a shared responsibility
In addition to the technical equipment, the campaign includes a significant public awareness action, The project, promoted by the beach and environment councillors of all the municipalities of the Mancomunidad. The objective: to involve users, fishermen and nautical activities respect and care for the sea.

Security and beaconing: 86,000 metres of order and protection
